Stitches in Bloom -

This once a month class will teach you how to use various feet on your sewing machine, as well as a wide variety of techniques, while creaating beautiful quilt squares.  You will do 1 block a month and classes end in December 2017

This class offers 2 choices:

  • make the squares by applique
  • make  the squares using your embroidery machine to embroider the flowers and then put the squares together using your sewing machine and various techniques.

Class will meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 10 am and 6pm

Technique included on this quilt include but not limited to:

  • pintucking
  • twin and wing needles
  • reverse bobbin work
  • fringe
  • couching
  • circular attachment
  • ruffler
  • binder foot
  • cording

 Supply List

  • sewing and embroidery (if doing embroidery) machines in good working order
  • new needles - recommend top stitch size 12 or 14
  • assortment of various color fabrics (if doing true applique)
  • assortment of thread colors - cotton and embroidery (if doing embroidery)
  • spray starch
  • stabilizer if doing embroidery
  • striaght pins
  • rotary cutter and ruler
  • marking pen
  • fabric requirements will be given upon registration.
